There are 2 types of APIs you can manage within a workspace for discovery through the DfE catalogue:

  1. Hosted - These APIs are directly hosted on the DfE service. They give you greater control over performance, security, and visibility.

  2. Linked - These APIs are hosted on 3rd party services and linked within the DfE Find and Use API Catalogue. They allow you to integrate external services while maintaining visibility and control within your workspace.
