API custom security configuration

Guidance to help you understand the available API custom security configurations through the Find and Use an API Management Portal.

API custom security provides you with a way to apply API custom security configuration including Web Application Firewall (WAF).

There are 2 levels at which custom security configuration can be applied to an API:

API scope

API scope custom security configuration settings, when enabled, apply to individual or groups of specified APIs only.

Environment scope

Environment scope security configuration settings, when enabled, apply to and affect all hosted APIs within the specified environment.
